Duties
- Receive, verify, classify, warehouse, and issue surplus property.
- Review and validate property using Federal Cataloging Procedures.
- Inspect materials for condition and eligibility for sale.
- Operate forklifts and materials handling equipment.
- Handle hazardous property and ensure safe warehousing practices.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Selective Service registration (for males born after Dec 31, 1959).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts.
- Pre-employment physical required.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate ability to perform duties of a Materials Examiner & Identifier without more than normal supervision. Volunteer experience will also be credited.
Key Skills: Knowledge of materials, technical practices, safety, and ability to interpret instructions.
