Job Overview
This National Guard position is for a MOBILE EQUIPMENT DRIVER EXAMINER (Title 32), Position Description Number D2433000, part of the IL 182 AW, National Guard. The role involves testing personnel on operation of a wide range of mobile equipment and performing operational maintenance and inspections.
Key Duties
- Conduct practical road and performance tests for applicants operating vehicles such as forklifts, tractors, buses, cranes, and other mobile equipment.
- Provide written and psychophysical tests to determine operator qualifications.
- Perform operational maintenance and repair on heavy duty mobile equipment and material handling equipment.
- Inspect equipment and ensure proper servicing including brake adjustments, greasing, cleaning, and hydraulic fluids replacement.
- Maintain files, records, test equipment, and schedules in accordance with current regulations.
Qualifications
- Must possess specialized experience conducting testing and evaluation of personnel operating heavy and specialized motor vehicles.
- Apply knowledge of vehicle safety, performance standards, and examination procedures.
- Perform operational checks and maintenance on equipment to support testing and mission readiness.
- Military Grades: Enlisted Only – Minimum rank of Amn & may not exceed TSgt.
- Must be eligible for Illinois National Guard membership.
